Baseball Betting Lines

09/17/2011 - Toronto, ON (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez returned to the lineup for Saturday's game against Toronto after sitting out more than a week to rest his ailing thumb.

Rodriguez missed six games and last played on September 9 at Seattle. He batted fifth Saturday.

The three-time AL MVP initially hurt his thumb while diving for a grounder during an August 21 game against Minnesota. He has been in and out of the lineup since.

In 90 games this season entering Saturday's contest, Rodriguez is batting .284 with 15 homers and 56 runs batted in. He also missed a few weeks from early July until late August after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery.
